No Game 5-Media bias, part 2

Ok, if you’re accused of robbery, should you be treated as a credible source,
NO. This is what the media is currently doing with this whole

“Bush says the media bias”. Now I know that I have already looked at NBC News but this one was ok to. The report was on wither or not the media was being biased toward the war like Bush was alleging. Here is what they said to defend themselves,

“Reporters used to travel more freely, before the rise in violence during the last year and a half. But why is the administration now seeming to blame the media?

George Packer, author of “The Assassins’ Gate: America in Iraq,” has reported from Iraq since the war began.

"I think they may well be laying the groundwork for a kind of ‘who lost Iraq strategy’ if and when American forces have to withdraw,” he says.

In fact, it's a familiar tactic.

“I think they are batting around the press because they are frustrated they have been down in the polls so long,” says former presidential adviser David Gergen.

It's a political strategy by a White House struggling with an unpopular war.”

Ok so now there blaming the Bush administration for using the media to cover the bad speculation in Iraq. Talk about fair and unbiased news reporting!

UPDATE

Rush Limbaugh talked about the NBC media bias on the second section of his show. You can go to there web site and they may post on this later. But for now this is a here is a good article.

No Game 4- What the democrats like most in politics

I thought you would like to hear what the democrats think of politics, the subject of my blog. So let us look at the main liberal magazine, The News Republic, in which the democrats get there talking points. It had to say this of politics, “There is nothing more fun in politics then good, old fashioned hate.” O.k, that does some up the democrat’s way of thinking though.

Just one more proof that politics is no game, Especially if there are liberals in it.

No Game 3- Media Bias: A look at todays nightly news.

Media bias a thing everybody knows but some people hide, also a favorite subject of radio talk show host's. But no would like to look at a recent case of it, in fact one that happened today. Now this wasn’t any local news (otherwise known as murder news),Channal any armature news commentator trying to push his agenda. This was NBC Nightly News with Brain Williams. Except this was not the slip of Mr. Williams, but rather NBC’s well respected political commenter and anchor of Meet the Press, Tim Russert.

It was at the beginning of the Nightly News program when this slip, of their well known agenda happened. The first report was on the dropping poll numbers for the Bush administration and support for the Iraq war. This poll had just come out so NBC News was not able (or I believe) to make a report on it. So as in all panic situations have your star commentator come and bail you out. So that’s what happened accept this is were mistake happen. When there is no script, no teleprompter, simple off the top of your head and notes. This is where your true thoughts arise. So back to the story, Russert had gone over the deep trouble that this administration is in, helping the future, economy, Iraq, etc.

Then suddenly the mistake happed. When talking about the poll number about who should control congress this happened, “And here is the result. 37% say republicans, 50% say democrats. A 13 point bulge for the democrats, very good news.” He then went on to say how with that number the democrats could recapture the House and the senate.

Ok, so your trying to tell me that the media isn’t bias, think again.

Here is were you can witness it for yourself.

No Game 2- don’t believe it till you see it

Over the past year the democrats have been attacking the President Bush on some of the main problems in are nation. So I wanted to look at what the democrats have been doing about it. And how there words do not do not match there actions. The best place to find what a party “wants” to do is an election site or blog. The following italic quotes are from the Democratic Party Blog:

“We will offer the American people a government that is honest in preparing for any deployment of American troops and honor their sacrifice when they come home.”

Yet the democrats have repeatedly said that Iraq is, "the wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time" (Quote John Kerry). If that’s w hat you called supporting the war then my name isn’t Philosopher! Kerry has also said, "And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the – of – the historical customs, religious customs," sure sounds like he is supporting the troops.

“Most important, we will talk about Democratic values, which are America’s values.”

And why did the democrats lose the election.

“The vast majority of Americans believe it is immoral to lets kids go hungry. We agree. The other party cuts school lunches (they just can’t seem to leave that one alone.)”

Like the republicans don’t

“Americans believe it is immoral that not everyone has some kind of health insurance. We agree.”

Yet the democrats plan would not help. Dr. Randle had this to say about he democrats plan,” None of these plans would institute any meaningful market reforms that may help to control health care costs. They claim their plans would make health care "more affordable for all Americans" but it all amounts to little more than political slight of hand.”

“Americans believe that it is immoral to leave huge debts to our children and grandchildren. We agree”.

But how many pork bills do we see coming from the left each year? According to Jeff Crouere of www.bayoubuzz.com, “The best thing about Republicans controlling Congress since 1994 is that the party has kept Democratic spending plans on hold.” If were having problems right now with the budgit what about a democrat controlled congress.

“Americans believe that using issues to divide us as a country to win elections is bad for America. We will restore America’s sense of community.

Together, America can do better. And in 2006, the Democrats will lead America to do just that.”

Words to sum up the last quote- Fat chance of that!

This book look like a good book for futher research.

No Game 1: How government gets your money without you knowing

Ok, so I’m off to a start. First issue, Bush’s tax cuts.

This has been a highly controversial issue in the past and present. Bush has continued to support his tax cuts in such statements like, "These are the basic ideas that guide my tax policy: lower income taxes for all, with the greatest help for those most in need.” But do they really? How does are government gets its money lost from taxes to run it's day to day
operations? That is what I’ll be looking at in this post.

Bush has never used his veto, and our government is filled with pork, we have a budget in the trillions (0,000,000,000), so we need to get the money from some where. Now well the old way of getting it was from large taxes. That has changed sense the Bush administration has come to office. So how do we feed the pig (pork bills)?

Well on the way home yesterday I was thinking about this, and it came to mind that I had seen a lot of cops out with there radar guns. Then the thought can to my mind, “Decrease taxes, increase tickets”. At first this sounded a little over the edge but then using Google I looked up the amount of tickets in 2005. What I found would be something I would never forget.

According to www.thenewspaper.com, a journal of the politics of driving, “speeding ticket revenue amounts to as much as $2.3 billion for 40 state highway patrol agencies”. But that is not the end. Washington D.C ( where the democrats live), had a 78.5 ticket rate! That means out of a population of 553,523, 434,301 of them got tickets. Now that’s no accident!!

Well the ticket rate was high in this largely liberal state; it was low in the largely conservative state of South Carolina. The rate of tickets per population was only 5.3.

So are government has it way of collecting its money, even without taxes. Florida alone got $99 million in ticket revenue. That would make fill in for a $99 Bush tax cut.

So the moral of the story is, think it your civil duty to pay for tickets, even if you didn't go over the speed limit. And watch out if you’re a liberal or in a liberal state.

Just another proof to show that politics is no sport.

Nothing funny about politics

"Haaaaaaaaa... you've got to be kidding!"

No I'm not. Politics is no fun. And it shouldn't be. It's boring, dull, and altogether - as much fun as a barrel of cornhusks.

Yes, there ain't no joy in politics. And that’s the way it ought to be.
