Reasons why the democrats may not win in November

Being ashamed of Liberalism- I have heard of republicans politicians stating that they are a conservative, But when was the last time you heard a democrat admit they are a liberal? Just look a Hillary and Bill, both of them have tried to make people think that there “moderate” but not liberal. By not stating it and being proud of it, the democrats have shown that liberalism is a thing to stay away from, and people see that.

Iraq and Afghanistan- The way the democrats have been looking for problems to talk about in Iraq and Afghanistan makes them look anti-American; it makes them look like they enjoy defeat.

Cronyism- Well the Republicans have had problems with this also, the democrats have had the worse. Between William Jefferson hiding 100 thousand in bribes and Ray Nagin’s leadership during the Katrina, the democrats have got a bad grade in the minds of the American people.

Silent Betrayal- The DNC was put into a position where it believed it had to attack itself in order to win in the long run, in New Orleans. In other words, “lose a battle to win a war.” But instead of stepping out boldly (unlike what the republicans are doing in RI, which is something that drives me nuts!) the DNC has attacked went silent and sent, secretly placed political operatives in the city of New Orleans to work against the reelection efforts of incumbent Democrat Mayor Ray Nagin.” This could lead to a loss of base and African American votes.

Inconsistency- Ever since the election and famous, “I voted for the war before I voted against it thing.” The democrats have seemed to back down from responsibility and done is better for the interview the next day rather then what they believe or then what’s good for America. I think this was one of the top four reasons the republicans won last year and I think it will be a big reason this year too.

Lack of Spirituality- The democrats finally figured out that a large percent of Americans believe in some religion and are not atheist (like a large part of them). Then this really hit them when the election came around. So with the election year coming up they tried to solve this problem. First they had a Congress man from West Virginia to do to do read off there lines off the teleprompter, but even before that they had the media state like 100 times that he was a former missionary, then he started and stated that the best thing someone could do was to serve man. Then they tried another attempt at it by holding an, “conference geared to help Democrats infuse God into their politics,” but this failed when members got outrage when the speaker suggested that they should use the bible more often. So as you can see they have not improved very much since the last election.

Negativity- Basic theory behind this: Nobody likes to listen to negative people. Just try to listen to Nancy Pelosi, “Well I must admit that Republican part has done a good job with this, but we still have this, this, this and this.” Drives me crazy and I don’t think Americans will be voting for more of that in November.

Lack of leadership- When they don’t like something what do Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reed do? Cry and yell. It’s about time in that they get a plan instead of attacking others and stating I have a plan.

I’m sure there are a lot of things that I’m forgetting, but these are the ones that came most to mind.

Reasons why the Republicans could lose in November

Iraq-66% of Americans disapprove of the way Bush is handling the situation in Iraq and that does not look like its going to change soon. Iraq is on the verge of a civil war, troops are leaving the Iraq army because they can’t be deployed in there town, the U.S is spending about 5-7 billion a month in Iraq, the Iraq government can’t get along; media bias is pushing the truth, and the false.

Loss of base-Bush supporting RINO’s in Rhode Island and Pennsylvania and also attacking there conservative opponent, Republicans voting against veterans

Spending-Federal expenditures have grown to an estimated $2.31 trillion for the budget year that started October 1. That is up from $1.86 trillion in President Clinton's, huge deficit; government spending has grown nearly 29% over the last four years

Immigration-Lack of a plan that they can agree on, Senator McCain’s plan, loss of support from legal immigrants

Tom Delay- After the Tom Delay fallout the republicans have been looked at as Nixion’ish and Jack did not help.

Energy Dependence-Lack

of progress, gas prices, throwing money at stuff that is not working, bill that made gas 10% ethanol making prices rise

Iran- Nothing is being done in the U.S or UN, to much talk not a lot of action

But as a lot of this is based on polls, some of it does not matter too bush. In the words of bush’s backup,” If I cared about polls I would run for president of Poland!”

Next I will be looking at why the democrats may not win in November.

How political pork hurts America

Sorry I have not posted in awhile, but I have been very busy.

One issue that has been brought to my attention in the past few months, deals with bills. The question is why would Bush “promise to veto a huge Senate bill to pay for the rising costs of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan and to repair Hurricane Katrina damage.” Well because that’s not the only purpose of the bill. Other things includes: 2“$14 billion with add-ons for farm aid, highway repairs, and aid to the Gulf Coast fishing industry” and a whole bunch of other pork put into it.

Well the sad truth is that politics comes before common sense. Politicians will put things like, 3$230 million bridge to an island with 80 people” into bills, just to get elected in the next election. Bush saw this type of politics finally and tried to stop it. An official White House statement stated that,4“The administration is seriously concerned with the overall funding level and the numerous un-requested items included in the Senate bill that are unrelated to the war or emergency hurricane relief needs.” After Bush decided to uses the threat of the veto, which he had never used before, his approval rating dropped to match the worst in the his presidency.

So the result of all of this is a lot of good bills not getting passed. Bills from Katrina to Veterans have been pushed off by the republicans because of this pork pushing. And well these bills get delayed people suffer and politicians lose votes.

Just one more proof that politics is no game.

No Game 5-Media bias, part 2

Ok, if you’re accused of robbery, should you be treated as a credible source,
NO. This is what the media is currently doing with this whole

“Bush says the media bias”. Now I know that I have already looked at NBC News but this one was ok to. The report was on wither or not the media was being biased toward the war like Bush was alleging. Here is what they said to defend themselves,

“Reporters used to travel more freely, before the rise in violence during the last year and a half. But why is the administration now seeming to blame the media?

George Packer, author of “The Assassins’ Gate: America in Iraq,” has reported from Iraq since the war began.

"I think they may well be laying the groundwork for a kind of ‘who lost Iraq strategy’ if and when American forces have to withdraw,” he says.

In fact, it's a familiar tactic.

“I think they are batting around the press because they are frustrated they have been down in the polls so long,” says former presidential adviser David Gergen.

It's a political strategy by a White House struggling with an unpopular war.”

Ok so now there blaming the Bush administration for using the media to cover the bad speculation in Iraq. Talk about fair and unbiased news reporting!

UPDATE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rush Limbaugh talked about the NBC media bias on the second section of his show. You can go to there web site and they may post on this later. But for now this is a here is a good article.

No Game 4- What the democrats like most in politics

I thought you would like to hear what the democrats think of politics, the subject of my blog. So let us look at the main liberal magazine, The News Republic, in which the democrats get there talking points. It had to say this of politics, “There is nothing more fun in politics then good, old fashioned hate.” O.k, that does some up the democrat’s way of thinking though.

Just one more proof that politics is no game, Especially if there are liberals in it.
